  • Visit the Office of Education Abroad in the Office of International Programs,
  • Sign up for an Advising Session to get a general overview of the education abroad process at UNC Charlotte.
  • Fill out the online Student Information Form
    • CURRENTLY enrolled UNC Charlotte students click here

  • Browse in the International Resource Center
  • Request specific program brochures ,
2. Make an appointment to meet with a study abroad advisor, choose a destinationdecide on a program, and obtain an application.
3. See your academic advisor to discuss your plans and courses abroad and obtain approvals for coursework.  Our office will also assist you with this process.
4. Submit the application on or before the deadline and apply for an Office of Education Abroad scholarship.
5. Do research on the country you’d like to visit, read books, talk with foreign students on campus and UNC Charlotte students who have returned from abroad about the country and program.
6. Apply for your passport and make preliminary travel arrangements.
7. Complete all post-acceptance forms and return them to the Office of Education Abroad.
8. Attend your pre-departure orientation program.
9. Pack up those bags, say “au revoir” and you’re on your way!
10. Have the time of your life!
11. After returning to UNC Charlotte, meet with a study abroad advisor regarding credit transfer, re-entry information, and activities on campus.
12. Plan for your next trip!
