Make an appointment to meet with a study
abroad advisor, choose a destination,
decide on a
program, and obtain an application. |

See your academic advisor to discuss your plans
and courses abroad and obtain approvals for coursework. Our
office will also assist you with this process. |
| 4. |
Submit the application
on or before the deadline and apply for an
Office of Education Abroad scholarship.

| 5. |
Do research on the country you’d like to
visit, read books, talk with foreign students on campus and UNC
Charlotte students who have returned from abroad about the country and
program. |
| 6. |
Apply for your passport
and make preliminary travel
arrangements. |
| 7. |
Complete all post-acceptance forms and return
them to the Office of Education Abroad. |
| 8. |
Attend your pre-departure orientation program. |
| 9. |
Pack up those bags, say “au
revoir” and you’re on your way! |

Have the time of your life! |
| 11. |
After returning to UNC Charlotte, meet with a
study abroad advisor regarding credit transfer, re-entry information,
and activities on campus. |
