"While
sitting on a small boat floating down the Ganges River at sunrise, I
was able to view the multistoried buildings, towers, temples, and
shrines that continue along the shore for miles. This is the
holiest Hindu city in India. For Hindus, no river is more
sacred than the Ganges. Thousands of straw umbrellas are found
along the banks where priests sit and give blessings for free."
