Study in brazil!
Locations
Florianópolis, capital of the
state of Santa Catarina
Divided between the Island of Santa Catarina and the mainland by the
country’s longest suspension bridge, Florianópolis is a popular
destination for Brazilian tourists as well as travelers from other parts
of South America. Santa Catarina has nearly 500 beaches, 42 of which are
located in the capital city alone. With a population of 350,000 and
located only 300 miles from São Paulo, many visitors come here to escape
the congestion of big-city life. Environmental reserves maximize the
protection of the surrounding natural areas.
In addition to its beaches and great seafood, Florianópolis is famous for
its Oktoberfest—one of the largest such celebrations in the world. As a
major site in the battles for the south of Brazil between the Portuguese
and Spanish during the second half of the eighteenth century, Santa
Catarina has preserved its several colonial forts as a monument to the
state’s historical importance. Read more about Santa Catarina
here.

specializations, and ranks eleventh among the top twenty most productive
